We gratefully accept any amount contributed in cash, check, or debit/credit card. Students may select to contribute either $10, $15, or $20 when paying online. Proceeds support Anasa Yoga programs and operating costs.
Aligned Vinyasa I is ideal for students seeking a flow experience linking breath to movement; for anyone returning to a yoga practice; and for students transitioning from Anasa Yoga’s Beginning Yoga classes into the tradition of Vinyasa. The fundamentals of Vinyasa yoga and alignment are explored.
The word Vinyasa means the connection of breath to movement. Thus, in Vinyasa yoga, movements in and between postures, are synchronized with the breath, creating a practice that is both dynamic and flowing. The asanas, or postures, are derived from the Ashtanga system. The difference between the two styles is that in Ashtanga yoga one performs the same asanas in the same sequence every time, while in Vinyasa yoga you’ll experience a variety of sequencing of the asana in each practice.
Classes include breathwork, Sun Salutations plus Level 1 twists, backbends, and forward bends.
